The problem
Five vendors, and each one reports a different number.
The strategy is in a slide deck. One agency has the website, another has the marketing tools, a third does SEO, and analytics belongs to whoever set up the tags a few years ago. Leadership ends up arguing about which report is right instead of deciding what to do next.
- Reports that don’t match, so budget decisions stall
- Tools that do the same job, and integrations nobody owns
- A website you can’t measure well enough to improve

How we approach it
We plan the pieces together.
Strategy, the website, the tools, the data and the reporting get planned at the same time by the same team. So the website feeds the CRM, the CRM matches your analytics, and the reports answer the questions leadership actually asks.
- 01StrategyGoals, audiences, roadmap
- 02ExperienceWebsite, journeys, content
- 03TechnologyMarTech stack, integrations
- 04DataData layer, tagging, consent
- 05MeasurementAnalytics, search, reputation

- SEO & organic growthMore of the right visitors from Google, and a better chance of being named when a buyer asks ChatGPT or Gemini.
- Online reputation managementMake sure what buyers find about you online matches the business you actually run.
Outcomes
What should change for you.
These are the results we plan engagements around and report on. Which ones matter most depends on where you’re starting from.
- 01
A better experience for customers
Pages and journeys built around what people are trying to do, then adjusted based on what the data shows.
Website design & development · Digital experience optimization
- 02
Easier to find
You show up in search results, and in AI answers, for the questions your buyers ask.
- 03
Numbers you can trust
GA4, your ad platforms and your CRM agree closely enough that meetings start from the same figure.
- 04
More out of your tools
Fewer overlapping subscriptions, integrations that work, and platforms set up properly.
- 05
More inquiries and sales
Clearer paths to contact or checkout, tested and adjusted instead of redesigned every few years.
Digital experience optimization · Website design & development
- 06
Less manual work
Reports that build themselves, systems that are written down, and AI where it takes real busywork off your team.
- 07
Better budget decisions
Spend moves toward what's working, and gets reviewed on a regular schedule.
How we work
Audit, plan, build, improve.
Every step ends with something you can use. Most clients start with a short audit, so you can see what we find before you commit to anything bigger.

How we’ll report resultsWhy ATL Martech
Strategic enough for the enterprise. Agile enough to actually get things done.
Big consultancies are thorough, but you pay for the size of the team. Agencies are good at producing work, usually inside one channel. We’re small on purpose: senior people who can handle the planning and the implementation, and who pay attention to how your channels fit together.
| Dimension | Large consultancy | Typical agency | ATL Martech |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | Large delivery teams, often junior | Account and production teams | The senior people who scoped it |
| Strategy and implementation | Often separate practices | Implementation-led | One team, end to end |
| Platform advice | Often tied to partnerships | Varies | Independent, no referral fees |
| Starting point | Large programs | Retainers or campaigns | A scoped audit or assessment |
| Measurement | A separate practice | Often channel-reported | Built into every engagement |
Generalizations, not rules. Plenty of good firms break them.
Insights
Straight answers to questions we hear a lot.
What does a marketing technology consultant do?
A plain description of the job and the documents it should leave behind, plus a few ways to spot a reseller dressed up as a consultant.
Read the articleWebsite redesign vs. optimization: how to decide
If the platform or the site structure is what's holding you back, a rebuild is probably justified. If a handful of pages are underperforming, fix those pages. This article helps you work out which situation you're in before the budget is committed, and how to keep your search traffic if you do rebuild.

Agencies and MarTech consultancies solve different problems. Work out which problem you actually have before you hire anyone.

ATL Martech is an Atlanta-based marketing technology consultancy. We connect marketing strategy, technology, data and digital experience, and then implement the work: marketing strategy, MarTech consulting, website design and development, digital experience optimization, analytics and measurement, SEO, online reputation management, and AI for marketing.
How does an engagement start?
With a free 30-minute conversation about your goals, stack and constraints. If there's a fit, we propose a fixed scope with specific deliverables and timelines. Many engagements start with a focused audit or assessment.
Who will actually do the work?
Senior practitioners. The people who design the plan are the people who implement it, so nothing gets lost in a hand-off.
Do you offer white-label or subcontracted work?
Yes. Agencies, consultancies and other firms can bring us in as a subcontractor on their client work, under their brand or their umbrella organization. We follow your process and reporting format, work through your team or directly with your client as you prefer, and keep the client relationship yours. Confidentiality terms go in our agreement with you.
Are you affiliated with any software vendors?
No. We're platform-independent and don't take referral fees, so our recommendations are based on your requirements, budget and team.
